Golf Classic

History

For the last 29 years, golfers in Palm Beach County have joined together to have a great day on the course and raise the money necessary to support the work of our ministry. Over time, the Youth for Christ Golf Classic has become one of the premier tournaments of the year. It is due in large part to generous support of Bernhard Langer, 3 time Player of the Year and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. 

This was the 17th year of Bernhard's involvement with Palm Beach County Youth for Christ. The two time Master's champion has given his time to play, host a clinic as well provide many of our live and silent auction items. We can not thank Mr. Langer enough for partnership in reaching lost teenagers. 

This Year's Event

This year's Golf Classic will be held on February 6, 2012 at Bear Lakes Country Club. We are very pleased to have Dr. Pepper as our major sponsor again this year, as well as 20 other friend and business sponsors from our community. Our field will fill up quickly once again so do not delay in signing up. You may contact our office at 561-686-5702 with any questions or to register your foursome.

Even if you can't attend the tournament that morning we would love for you to be our guest at the dinner following the event. There you will be able to participate in both our live and silent auctions. A dinner ticket is available for $45. 

Combining the silent and live auctions, sponsors and players, over $100,000 was raised for teenage outreaches in Palm Beach County.

This year we are very excited to particpate once again in the Birdie's for Children program. As a part of the Honda Classic held in Palm Beach County each year, Birdies for Children gives people a chance to purchase guesses as to the number of birdies that will be made during the tournament. Guess correctly you can win a new Honda. 

100% of the money collected through the purchase of guesses is given to the charity of your choice AND the Honda Classic adds 10%. It's a fun way to support our ministry, multipy your gift and maybe win a great prize!
